Prohibition Wine Cellar Revival
The executives, Orvis Evans and Cornelius "Con" Kelly, found their ideal hideaway in Northwest Montana along the peaceful shores of the Swan Lake and River in the early 1900’s. They called it The Kootenai Camp.“With Prohibition on the horizon, Kelley and Evans stockpiled a large supply of liquor. When that ran out, they hired a bootlegger to keep the cellar supplied. Todays owners Scott & Pip Goninan, wanted to restore the Prohibition Wine Cellar so it could be enjoyed. They promptly hired Jennifer Wright of Alexandra Lauren Interiors to bring breathe new life into this historic cellar in 2020. Jennifers first call was to our dear friend, Denny Kellog. Denny is a master stone mason and well known Montana historian. He was the perfect man for the job.
